Increasingly, people are using mobile phones to access information — from email to web browsing to editing documents. Part of getting work done on the go is being able to easily access, edit and share content, which is why we’re happy to announce the new Google Docs app for Android.

With this new app it’s easy to filter and search for your content across any Google account, then jump straight into editing docs using the online mobile editors. The app also allows you to easily share items with contacts on your phone, right from within the app.

How do I improve our customer service?

April 22nd, 2011

Learning about customer service from the government…but who do they learn from?

I am a reader of GovLoop articles, but I am not a government employee. Being in any business in the DC metro region makes you want to understand how the federal government works, breaths and thinks, because if you don’t follow the government then your business won’t last long.

Almost every business, including ours, is attached either directly to the federal government or indirectly through clients whose chief clients are government agencies. I follow GovLoop with regularity to get the pulse that I need to track. It ‘s a great social network for government employees and a great place to get a feel for how federal workers and managers feel and the challenges that they are facing.

There are many issues that face the agencies from technology issues to customer service that affect our business as well, and GovLoop serves up some pretty darn good advice on a range of topics. Awhile ago I came across an article on ways to secure your mobile device using existing free apps that provide encryption (pretty cool stuff).

On the customer service front there was a great article posted just today at GovLoop. It details what the government and the rest of us could learn about Customer Service from Disney. You can read it here http://www.govloop.com/profiles/blogs/why-government-should-be-like

After reading this article I have to completely agree. I spent my honeymoon at Disney last August and there were numerous examples of fantastic customer service from having every cast member tell us congratulations (we were wearing newlywed buttons) to the day we were out of allotted meal punches and a cast member randomly let us have a free snack from her food cart.

After doing a quick search I found this online for those in HR who might provide training http://disneyinstitute.com/about_us/our_story.aspx.

Here at PMG we exude this and strive to exceed our customers expectations in everyway (my little plug for our company in this story).
